How to Tile Windows to left or right screen?
Do you also find it annoying that you have to click and hold the green icon (full-screen button) on the window to tile windows to the left or right screen? The Mac OS split-screen feature should be more convenient to handle.
You can either install an app for a shortcut or add the shortcut without an app.
I recommend that you add the shortcut without an app.
Here is how to do that:
1. Open System Preferences.
2. Open Keyboard.
3. Go to Shortcuts.
4. Go to App Shortcuts.
5. Press ✚
6. Select “All Applications”.
7. Insert the Menu Title: “Tile Window to Left of Screen”. (The title must exactly match)
8. Choose a Keyboard Shortcut.
9. For instance: CMD ( ⌘ ) + Option ( ⌥ ) + CONTROL + ⬅
10. Add the shortcut for the other side.
11. Insert the Menu Title: “Tile Window to Right of Screen” (The title must exactly match)
12. Choose a Keyboard Shortcut.
13. For instance: CMD ( ⌘ ) + Option ( ⌥ ) + CONTROL + ➡
14. Done.
